Quality Testing
Designing the right formula is only half the job. Once a peptide has been selected and a formula has been designed around it, another set of questions begins.
For peptide skincare, scientific credibility doesn’t stop at formulation.
Is it the intended peptide?
A peptide is defined by a specific amino-acid sequence. Change that sequence and you have changed the molecule. Identity matters because “a peptide” and the intended peptide are not interchangeable.
What is actually in the peptide material?
Peptide raw materials can include the intended compound along with synthesis byproducts, degradation products, or other impurities. Quality of the material is part of quality of the formula.
Is the intended amount present?
Formulating at a target concentration and confirming what is actually present in the finished product are two different questions.
Can the finished product be made consistently?
Raw-material controls, manufacturing discipline, and appropriate finished-product testing all contribute to product quality. The exact methods and standards should match the product being made.
Formulation asks whether the product was designed correctly. Verification asks whether what was designed is what actually ended up in the product.
Serious peptide skincare requires both.
